Artificial Intelligence a Major Focus at 2023 Learning Impact Conference

Education and technology leaders will discuss AI at all levels of education throughout the week

LAKE MARY, Florida, April 20, 2023 — Educational and technology leaders will carefully consider the current challenges, impacts, and future of artificial intelligence in education at the 2023 Learning Impact Conference in Anaheim, California, June 5-8.

“Learning Impact has always been the event for our members and other leaders to gather and consider the future of edtech, what challenges are on the horizon, and what we as a community can do to support teaching and learning through innovation thoughtfully,” said 1EdTech CEO Dr. Rob Abel. “The discussion around artificial intelligence ranges from excitement to fear, confusion, and frustration. We hope to cut through some of the noise and facilitate thoughtful conversations that lead to solutions.”

The Learning Impact Conference will host several informative sessions, hands-on workshops, and roundtable discussions with thought leaders from higher education and K-12 districts and many of the leading edtech and digital curriculum suppliers.

Topics include the potential impacts of AI in the classroom, the likely benefits of AI, some of the less obvious applications of the technology, the importance of data for training AI and machine learning tools, the security of ChatGPT, implications of generative AI, how AI can help alleviate resource constraints, opportunities to experiment with generative AI, and the role edtech innovators see AI playing in the future.

1EdTech members facilitating these sessions include members from edtech suppliers leading the way in edtech artificial intelligence, including Microsoft, Turnitin, PowerSchool, Savvas Learning, and others.

Additionally, several projects competing at the event for the 2023 Learning Impact Awards explore how institutions and their supplier partners are evolving innovative immersive learning solutions and AI-generated content to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
