Senior Director of Supplier Programs
1EdTech Consortium, formerly IMS Global Learning Consortium, is dedicated to advancing interoperability and innovation in education technology. We foster a collaborative environment where educational institutions and edtech suppliers can work together to create effective, integrated, and interoperable learning solutions.
Reporting to the CEO of 1EdTech, the Senior Director of Supplier Programs will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic vision for managing edtech supplier relationships and partnerships. This role will enhance our engagement with commercial businesses in the education sector, ensuring that we maximize the value of our membership while driving growth and innovation within our consortium. In addition to managing supplier programs, this role will be responsible for overall membership operations.
This is a remote position located in the United States.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Development: Create and implement a comprehensive supplier relationship management strategy that aligns with the goals of 1EdTech and enhances member engagement.

Partnership Cultivation: Identify, establish, and nurture strategic partnerships with key suppliers, focusing on long-term collaboration and mutual benefits.

Member Acquisition: Develop robust inbound and outbound membership acquisition strategies. Work with product and marketing teams to test and iterate campaigns that expand our audiences and drive top-line growth.

Program Management: Develop and oversee supplier programs that promote collaboration, innovation, and resource sharing among institutional members and suppliers.

Thought Leadership, Advocacy, and Representation: Represent 1EdTech at industry events, conferences, and forums, advocating for the interests of members and suppliers alike. Speak as an expert on innovative supplier engagement with 1EdTech activities and ecosystem development.

Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities in the edtech landscape, providing insights to inform strategy and program development. Understand and demonstrate expertise in supplier profiles.

Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of supplier programs and partnerships. Gather and analyze recruitment, retention, and attrition data to improve program offerings.

Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with marketing, institutional programs, technical, and policy teams to align supplier initiatives with organizational goals and member benefits.

Membership Operations: Work closely with institutional membership teams and back-office operations to ensure all membership details, including payment, contacts, communications, and assets, are entered into the CRM and managed efficiently. Monitor all memberships and provide key data to internal stakeholders.
Qualifications & Education

Relevant post-secondary education and/or industry experience

10+ years of experience in supplier management, partnership development, or business / corporate development, preferably in the edtech or education sector.

Proven track record of building and maintaining successful relationships with commercial partners.

Strong understanding of the edtech landscape across K-20 Education and Workforce, including current trends and challenges.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to think strategically while also managing day-to-day operations effectively.
