  • Engages learners or accelerates the effectiveness of pedagogy in ways that lead to a measurable improvement in learner success
  • Enhances self-directed learning, critical thinking, or metacognitive skills
  • Supports the development and assessment of key competencies
  • Leads to improved learning design or greater access to quality learning materials and curricula
