Let's Get Clear on Credentials
Higher education is increasingly adopting digital credentials since they provide valuable insights into learners' knowledge, skills, and achievements, opening up opportunities for them. However, for microcredentials to succeed in education, we must have clarity on the rigor, quality, and relevance behind such credentials. We're here to clear up the confusion around microcredentials. We'll walk you through a groundbreaking framework that establishes a baseline for evidence that should be embedded in a digital credential describing what the learner actually learned or achieved to earn the credential. You'll hear the perspectives of two institutional leaders involved in developing this framework and find out what is next on our to-do list, including a certification program to ensure trust and transparency across your digital ecosystem.
