This is a member-only webinar.

The conversation around screen time in K–12 is getting louder. Parents, policymakers, educators, and communities are asking how much technology students use, the growing role of AI, and whether digital tools are contributing to meaningful learning.
But screen time alone doesn’t tell us what students are actually doing. Watching a video, practicing a skill, collaborating with classmates, receiving feedback, and demonstrating mastery may all look the same in a screen-time report—but represent very different learning experiences.

Join 1EdTech K–12 members as we explore how to move beyond measuring minutes, clicks, and logins toward understanding the purpose and context of digital learning activity. We’ll discuss what available data can—and cannot—tell us and what information educators need to make better decisions.

We’ll also explore how Caliper Analytics and CASE can help connect digital learning activities with the competencies, skills, standards, and objectives behind them.

Speakers:

  • Dr. Jessica Preisig, Assistant Superintendent for Technology Services, School District of Pickens County
  • Ryan Gravette, Chief Technology Officer, Boise School District
  • Susan Haught, Director, Program Management, 1EdTech
