Privacy Policy Vetting/Revetting and Consultation for Members
Terms of Service
By accepting, the applicant acknowledges and agrees that this application represents a binding contract between the parties that obligates the member applicant organization to undergo a vetting of at least one publicly available (via public URL) privacy policy according to 1EdTech’s latest published version of the 1EdTech TrustEd Apps Data Privacy Rubric, (i) reviewing the results of the vetting as provided by 1EdTech, and (ii) agree that the person(s) responsible for the privacy policy are in attendance at a consultation to discuss the vetting results, with an opportunity to make improvements to the privacy policy that may also result in a revision in the vetting results by 1EdTech.
The applicant understands and agrees that (i) that the vetting results will be published by 1EdTech and available exclusively to members, (ii) that the vetting results are effective for one year from the completion of the vetting process, (iii) use of 1EdTech trademarks, certification or publication of the vetting results is limited to specific rights authorized solely by 1EdTech for use by members and partners, (v) any other use of 1EdTech trademarks, names of specifications or 1EdTech copyrighted materials in connection with an implementation, product or service including any press release are expressly not granted.
The applicant also understands that 1EdTech rules, policies, and standards, such as the 1EdTech TrustEd Apps Data Privacy Rubric, will evolve from time to time based on need.
IN NO EVENT WILL 1EDTECH CONSORTIUM BE LIABLE TO ANY PARTY FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES FOR ANY USE OF MATERIALS FROM OR PARTICIPATION WITH 1EdTech INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY LOST PROFITS OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, EVEN IF 1EDTECH IS EXPRESSLY ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
Privacy Policy Vetting/Re-Vetting and Consultation for Non-Members

By accepting, the applicant acknowledges and agrees that this application represents a binding contract between the parties that obligates the non-member applicant organization to (i) make payment prior to undergoing vetting of one publicly available (via public URL) privacy policy according to 1EdTech’s latest published version of the 1EdTech TrustEd Apps Data Privacy Rubric, (ii) reviewing the results of the vetting as provided by 1EdTech, and (iii) agree that the person(s) responsible for the privacy policy are in attendance at a consultation to discuss the vetting results, with an opportunity to make improvements to the privacy policy that may also result in a revision in the vetting results by 1EdTech.
The applicant understands and agrees that (i) the one-time privacy policy vetting and consultation is equivalent to those received by 1EdTech members with the important exception of being able to obtain proof of ongoing certification to TrustEd Apps that is available exclusively to 1EdTech members, (ii) that the vetting results obtained will be published by 1EdTech, (iii) that the vetting is effective for one year from the completion of the vetting and consultation process, (iv) use of 1EdTech trademarks, certification or publication of the vetting results is limited to specific rights authorized solely by 1EdTech for use by members and partners, (v) any other use of 1EdTech trademarks, names of specifications or 1EdTech copyrighted materials in connection with an implementation, product or service including any press release are expressly not granted, and (vi) privacy policy vetting and consultation fees are not refundable.
The applicant also understands that 1EdTech rules, policies, and standards, such as the 1EdTech TrustEd Apps Data Privacy Rubric, will evolve from time to time based on the needs of the organization.
