Board members provide mission-based leadership and strategic governance
BURLINGTON, Mass., Jan. 13, 2026 — 1EdTech® Consortium (1EdTech) members elected two new representatives to the board of directors for 2026.
1EdTech members elected Edward Dedic, Vice President of Education Strategy for PowerSchool, and Dr. Jessica Preisig, Assistant Superintendent for Technology Services for the School District of Pickens County in South Carolina, to serve alongside the returning board members.
As Vice President of Education Strategy at PowerSchool, Edward Dedic brings deep, cross-cutting expertise in education technology standards. He serves as an internal champion, working across departments to ensure high-fidelity implementation of both new and existing standards while fostering collaboration among school personnel, product teams, and technical stakeholders. Over his 20-year tenure at PowerSchool, he has engaged extensively in working groups and special interest groups across the edtech ecosystem, leveraging the breadth of the organization’s portfolio to inform and help shape the development and evolution of industry standards and practices, including those currently underway.
Dr. Jessica Preisig serves as Assistant Superintendent for Technology Services for the School District of Pickens County, where she leads a team responsible for creating a secure, comprehensive digital ecosystem that supports instructional technology, infrastructure, safety systems, and data management. As a cabinet-level leader focused on future-ready innovation, she bridges academic and administrative services, bringing valuable insights into the purposeful integration of technology, professional development, and district-wide practices that support student success.
“Edward and Jessica consistently go above and beyond in implementing, advancing and advocating for the use of interoperability standards to support student success,” said Curtiss Barnes, CEO of 1EdTech. “Their experience, insight, and collaborative spirit will be tremendous assets to the board as we continue to support our members and amplify the power of learning. I’m excited to welcome them and look forward to the contributions they will make in the years ahead.”
